How to Import Subscribers From a CSV File
Uploading subscriber data from a CSV file is an efficient way to quickly import large lists of subscribers into Vye. Follow these steps to upload your CSV file and map your subscriber information correctly.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Access Your App in Shopify Admin
- Log in to your Shopify Admin.
- From the Shopify Admin dashboard, go to the Apps section.
- Click on Vye to open the app’s dashboard.
2. Navigate to the Subscribers Section
- Once you’re in the app, look for the Subscribers section on the left-hand side.
- Click on Subscribers to view the list of all the subscribers who have signed up through your forms or have been added manually.
3. Open the Import Options
- In the Subscribers section, locate the More Actions dropdown button (usually found near the top-right of the subscribers list).
- Click on More Actions to reveal a popover menu.
- In this menu, you will see two options: Import and Export. Select Import.
4. Upload Your CSV File
- After clicking Import, an upload area will appear.
- Click on the upload area and select the CSV file from your computer. If the file is valid, import options will be displayed.
5. Map CSV Columns to Fields and Add Trigger Data
- Match columns from the file to the corresponding Vye fields such as Email, Product Tags, Collections, Search Keywords, and Notification Frequency.
- You can also select additional trigger data that should be applied to all imported subscribers.
6. Import the Subscribers
- After selecting the options, click the Import button to begin importing the subscribers.
- If the mapped fields are correct and the emails are valid, the subscribers will be imported into the app.
Important Notes:
- Subscriber Limits: If the combined total of the uploaded subscribers and your current subscriber count exceeds your plan's limit, only a subset of the uploaded subscribers will be imported.
- Duplicate Emails: Duplicate emails found in the uploaded file or among existing subscribers will be ignored during the import process. Only unique email addresses will be imported.
Troubleshooting:
- Disabled Import Button: The email field must be mapped to exactly one column.
